Senior Embedded SW Engineer - Cortex M, HAL

1. Drive the development and testing of the SDK on SoC devices and emulation platforms.
2. Work within MCU software development team, Architecture team and SOC Design team on MCU software development and test activities.
3. Responsible for extending the hardware adaptation layer (HAL) and device drivers of the SDK to new platforms as well as enhancing its features and content. The candidate will be involved in the extension of the SDK to cover new MCU members of the family as they become available.
4. Work with our software architects to define the hardware abstraction layer (HAL) and board support package (BSP) of the SDK.
5. Design, develop and maintain HAL interfaces for MCU common blocks, such as Cache, MPU, TCM, MRAM/Flash, clock, power and MCU control etc.
6. Design, develop and maintain examples and software testcases for MCU common blocks.
7. Take a key role in the pre-silicon verification on FPGA, as well as post-silicon bring up, verification, and debug focusing on MCU core and common blocks.
8. Design, develop and maintain real-time OS ports for MCUs.

You should have either a Masters or Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Electrical & Electronics Engineering with at least 6 years of experience in embedded software development.

1. 1. Deep understanding of ARM architectures, Cortex M-profile preferred;
   2. Deep understanding of embedded RTOS required, Zephyr and FreeRTOS preferred;
   3. Experience with developing embedded MCU code in C and assembly language on Arm Cortex-M Processors;
   4. Experience with at least one MCU IDE from ARM, Keil, IAR, Eclipse, O-zone or other;
   5. Familiarity with MCU peripherals such as SPI, I2C, UART etc.;
