We are representing the Singapore Research& Development (R&D) team to hire for their new headcount for the Motor Advanced Development team team.

Lead Engineer, Motor Systems Development (Advanced Development team)

This is a technical leadership position within an advanced development and innovation team, responsible for driving next-generation motor technology development. The successful candidate will lead motor innovation projects from concept generation through to product integration, while serving as the subject matter expert for motor system design and development.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Lead the development of new motor technologies and electromechanical systems from concept through product integration.
  2. Act as the technical expert for motor design, providing guidance on architecture, performance optimization, and system integration.
  3. Design, evaluate, and optimize motors, fans, impellers, and related electromechanical components to meet product requirements.
  4. Collaborate closely with cross-functional product development teams and global suppliers to deliver innovative motor solutions.
  5. Conduct technical feasibility studies, simulations, testing, and design reviews to ensure robust and manufacturable designs.
Job Requirements
    1. Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related discipline, with at least 5 years of relevant industry experience.
    2. Strong hands-onexperience in motor and electromechanical design, including AC, PMDC, and/or BLDC motors.
    3. Proficiency in CAD tools(preferably Creo) and engineering simulation software such as Ansys Motor CAD, Maxwell, Fluent, or equivalent.
    4. Experience in aerodynamic or turbomachinery design, including fans, rotors, impellers, and thermal management solutions.
    5. Familiarity with engineering drawings, materials selection, PLM systems, supplier collaboration, and cross-functional product development processes.
    6. Experience with multi-stage turbine design, CFD, MATLAB/ Modelica, or thermal analysis tools.
    7. Exposure to intellectual property evaluation, business feasibility assessments, or innovation-driven product development.
    8. Experience working with global or regional supplier ecosystems.
